I am a Professor in the Mathematics Department at the University of California, Irvine and am a member of the group in Logic and Foundations.
I also hold a courtesy appointment in the Department of Logic and Philosophy of Science.
I currently have a NSF grant on Model theory, quantum complexity, and embedding problems in operator algebras.

- Nonstandard methods in Ramsey theory and combinatorial number theory (joint with Mauro Di Nasso and Martino Lupini)
- Ultrafilters throughout mathematics, published in the American Mathematical Society's Graduate Studies in Mathematics series.
- I edited the volume Model theory of operator algebras, which appeared in De Gruyter's Logic and its applications this year.
