Grading:    Weekly quizzes 30%, midterm exam 30%, final exam 40%.

Homework and quizzes:    Homework problems will be assigned weekly, and will serve as a preparation for the quizzes and exams. Quizzes will be given in discussion section on Thursdays once every non-exam week. Every quiz takes about 20 minutes. The quiz will cover material from that week’s homework assignment. There will be no make up quizzes, since two lowest quiz grades will be dropped from the final grade calculation. There will be one midterm and one final exam.
