Textbook: Thomas' Calculus: Early Transcendentals, 11th Edition, by Weir/Hass/Giordano. ISBN 032119800X.
Will mostly cover Chapters 5,6,7,8. Detailed outline of the course.

Assessment

Homework: assigned in MyMathLab every Friday.
Midterm 1: Friday, February 1, in class. Covers Section 4.8 and all sections of Chapter 5. Solutions.
Midterm 2: Monday, February 25, in class. Covers Sections 6.1 - 6.7. Solutions.
Final: March 19, 1-3pm in 2205 Haring. Problems and Solutions. Students taking two 21 finals: March 19, 1:30-5:30pm in 119 Wellman. The final exam is comprehensive. It covers Sections 4.8, 5.1--5.6, 6.1--7, 7.1-7.2, 8.1--8.5, 8.8.
Review Session: Monday, March 17, in class.

Sample Exams: Sample Midterm 1, Sample Midterm 2, Sample Midterm 3, Sample Final. The content of the actual exams will be different.

Grading: Course grade will be based on: Final=40%, Miderm 1=25%, Midterm 2=25%, Homework=10%.
The final grade will be determined by the curve: A: 90, B: 80, C: 70, D: 51.
