Math 140B - Analysis II (Winter '25)
- Continuity: review + limits of functions (pdf) (html)
- Sequences and Series of Functions: (pdf) (html) --- to the midterm
- Differentiation: to appear
- Integration: to appear
- Sections are numbered to roughly line up with the semi-official textbook Elementary Analysis: The Theory of Calculus by Kenneth Ross, though some topics are treated differently. You are strongly encouraged to get a copy for additional reading and exercises.
- Please report typos or anything that's unclear. In particular, the html version is converted from the pdf. If something looks wacky, compare with the pdf and report it.
- All homework exercises (see Canvas) refer to these notes only, though many are taken from or paraphrased from Ross. Solutions to all exercises will eventually appear in Canvas.
- Notes will update through the term --- refresh/reload the page to make sure you have the latest version. In case you want to read ahead, an old full-length version of the notes are here: changes are likely to be minor, just don't answer homework from these as exercises and numbering could change!
- The source code is available to muck with if you're a LaTeX veteran. If you want to learn how to typeset mathematics like this, you can find a short guide here.
The full syllabus, solutions, class policies, assessment dates and gradebook are within Canvas for enrolled students only.
