K-14 Education in Science/Math/Engineering

My speciality is the influence of unaddressed curricular difficulties on whole careers. "Lines in the Curriculum" (an invited AMS talk) uses the "Howard Thompson story" in enlisting the help of administrators. 

Campus Administrators first interpreted this issue as in the intellectual stratosphere. A technology tool, I(nteractive) Q(uestionnaire)s, solidly documented student wipeout -- in actual UCI classrooms -- from a misunderstanding of the simplest of geometric objects, lines. IQs work over the internet. They increase student interaction through a steady stream of feedback, and in-time intervention, during busy quarters. Their virtues include how they leverage instructor expertise. This is without losing personalized instructor interaction or adding additional work.
