Textbook: A Computational Introduction to Number Theory and Algebra (Version 2) by Victor Shoup
This book can be downloaded for free from the internet,
see the link
This course will cover materials in elementary number theory
with an emphasis on algorithms and applications.
The final grade of this course will be based on:
-
one midterm exam (30%)
-
one final exam (40%)
-
homework/quizz (30%)
The exams will consist of problems similar to, but different from the
problems/examples in the book and in the lectures.
