This course will cover materials in elementary number theory with an emphasis on algorithms and applications.

The final grade of this course will be based on:

one midterm exam (30%)
one final exam (40%)
homework/quizz (30%)

The exams will consist of problems similar to, but different from the
problems/examples in the book and in the lectures.
