Chief Administrative Officer
As the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of the Mathematics Department, Claudia oversees the comprehensive management of departmental functions. She is responsible for the development and execution of management systems that ensure effective oversight of all planning and operational endeavors. Her jurisdiction spans a variety of key areas, including finance and accounting, contracts, grants, academic and staff personnel matters, administration of instructional programs, as well as graduate and undergraduate student affairs. Additionally, Claudia oversees facilities and space management, administrative and technical support services, compliance with safety regulations, and the fostering of program development. She plays a pivotal role in creating and sustaining an environment that welcomes creativity, fosters the ability to navigate and overcome challenges, and encourages innovation.
Claudia received her Doctorate in Education from the UCLA School of Education with a focus on Educational Leadership within Higher Education. She is a proud alumna of UC Irvine where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Political Science with a Minor in Conflict Resolution.
