My Info and News
I am a graduate student in the mathematics department at the University of California, Irvine. I entered the program in the fall of 2003 and have chosen number theory as my area of specialization. My advisor is Professor Karl Rubin and my thesis topic deals with local constants of elliptic curves and some generalizations to abelian varieties (as vague as that is).
I am expecting to finish/defend my doctorate sometime in or before the Summer term of 2009. From about June 28 to July 18, 2009 I will be in Park City, Utah for the 2009 PCMI Graduate Summer School on the arithmetic of L-functions. I am then off (sometime in August 2009) to Colorado Springs, CO to begin a postdoctoral position in the mathematics department at Colorado College.
