Transportation and Parking

Irvine is centrally located in Southern California. The most convenient airport is the Orange County Airport (John Wayne, code: SNA). If you fly into Los Angeles (LAX), taking a shuttle bus to UCI or the nearby hotels will be an hour and $50. If you are driving down from LA, the trip is roughly an hour -- from San Diego it is a bit further.

There are two main entrances to the UCI campus: at Bridge Road and at East Peltason, both just off Campus Drive; consult the campus map at http://www.uci.edu/helpdesk/map. You can purchase a one-day parking permit at either entrance for $10 for a reserved parking permit. For participants from other UC campuses, the parking sticker for the home campus may be valid at UCI for non-reserved parking. Check in advance with UCI parking (949) 824-7486. Note that parking permits are required seven days a week.

The lectures will be held in TBA. The parking lot nearest the building is Lot 12B. If you don't have a reserved parking permit, as people from other UC campuses, Do NOT park in a "Reserved" spot - the fine is heavy!
