Problem 1. Prove that if one of the sides a, b and c of a triangle is equal to the arithmetic mean of the remaining sides, then one of the altitudes of that triangle is 3 times as great as the radius of the circle inscribed in the triangle.

Hint. If $a=\frac{1}{2} (b+c)$ prove that ha=3r using problem 1.
