The purpose of this Symposium is to bring together applied mathematicians in southern California and to promote interactions among them. The Symposium is intended to be informal and relaxing -- and to provide plenty of time for discussions and social gathering. We especially encourage graduate students, postdocs, and junior faculty to participate and to establish possible future collaborations. Graduate students are encouraged to contribute a poster session during the breaks.
