* Abstract: Infinity appears in mathematics in various forms. Our only
method of establishing truth about mathematical objects is the
method of proof. Only a couple of decades ago it became clear that
infinity is responsible for certain discrepancy between what is true
and
what we actually can prove using standard mathematical methods. I would
like to present several examples that illustrate this phenomenon.
